Evangeline Gouletas, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Skyline Equities Realty- the first and only woman inducted into the Chicago Association of REALTORS Hall of Fame- knew instantly that not only did she want to build on Brickell, she wanted to live there.“It’s alive. I immediately sold my apartment in Aventura and said, this is where I want to live,” said Gouletas.

Gouletas got into real estate by doing condominium conversions. “I beautified the buildings,” she explains…and the rest was a natural progression. Gouletas laughs when she’s asked if project managers or construction crews treated her differently. “First of all, project managers work for me and I always performed well. Your teammates evaluate your performance and I was always very well respected in the field of real estate.”

Gouletas considers her first major triumph to be the management of Lake Point Tower in Chicago, the tallest residential building in the world. Bubbling with enthusiasm about her newest project, Skyline on Brickell, she says her company is looking to build $500 million worth of projects either through joint ventures or on their own.

She encourages women in getting into the field. “There are not a lot of us, probably because of discouragement. And yet today, you will find women running countries,” she noted
